Okay so I had a dream that I met someone on Tammi (it's a dating app). Their name was Audrey. When I met them they wore this crimson shirt and they looked a little chunky. They were super chill and liked all the things that I liked. They were the perfect person for me. we really hit it off. We really liked our company and we met each other in real life what's nice is that they're in the same state or at least they came down to see me. Until disaster struck when they went back to their own State there was a massive hurricane. I tried to text him if they were okay but they didn't respond for a long time. Where I was there was a disaster too and we had to take shelter. I think I was going through a hurricane as well and I got so worried that I tried texting them multiple social medias. Eventually they texted me back saying that they're okay and they're staying with somebody else that they know. I said I'm glad they're okay but every time I try to text them back or every time. I tried to meet up with them it just wouldn't happen it got to the point where it made me think that Audrey wasn't real. It was a figment of my imagination. In the dream I even asked my mom if they remember Audrey meeting up with me and she said that she did. I had a breakdown in front of my family because every time I try to text them they would make me feel like I was talking to a brick wall.
Dreams often reflect our thoughts, feelings, and experiences in waking life. In your dream, several key themes emerge, which can provide insights into what your subconscious might be processing:
Connection and Idealization: Meeting someone like Audrey, who embodies qualities you admire and resonate with, suggests a desire for connection and companionship. The fact that you get along so well reflects your longing for a relationship that feels genuine and fulfilling.
Fear of Disconnection: The disaster, represented by the hurricane, could symbolize an impending threat to this newfound connection or your relationships in general. Natural disasters in dreams often signify chaos or turmoil in your waking life. Your worry about Audrey during the hurricane may indicate anxieties about losing bonds or being unable to reach out to those you care about during difficult times.
Communication Struggles: Your attempts to contact Audrey that result in being unresponsive represent a fear of miscommunication or a sense of being unheard or dismissed in real life. It may point to feelings of isolation, particularly when facing challenges or emotional turmoil.
Self-Reflection and Identity: Asking your mother about Audrey and questioning her reality showcases a struggle with self-perception and possibly feeling insecure about your connection with others. It might express a fear that your desires or dreams for relationships are not grounded in reality or that they are fleeting, like a figment of your imagination.
Emotional Overwhelm: Having a breakdown in front of your family could indicate that, beneath the surface, you are grappling with overwhelming emotions. This part of the dream suggests that even if you feel alone in your distress, your loved ones are there to support you.
Overall, this dream may be highlighting your hopes and fears regarding relationships, communication, and emotional support. It can serve as a nudge to reflect on your current feelings about connection with others, especially in times of personal upheaval or crisis. It might also be beneficial to consider ways you can express your needs and desires to others more openly, so you don’t feel unheard or isolated in the future.
